Grisel García-Ramírez, PhD

Assistant Research Scientist

Dr. García-Ramírez completed a PhD in Psychology (Behavioral Science) from the University of Rhode Island. She held postdoctoral fellowship positions at the University of California Berkeley through PIRE’s Prevention Science Research Training Program and at the National Center for Sexual Violence Prevention of Georgia State University.

Her research interest focuses on environmental factors influencing alcohol and cannabis co-use (local and state policies), and risks associated with substance use, specifically sexual assault among young adults. Her research has also focused on differential patterns of substance use and risks among minoritized populations based on gender identity, sexual orientation, race, and ethnicity.
